Addictions

Addiction causes much destruction in our world. Commonly it is not only the addict who suffers the consequences of addiction, but includes those close to them, those who care for them and their community.

We all want to feel good. Some people find it much harder to feel good or happy and struggle through life trying to find something that will make them feel calm, loved, accepted, energised, motivated, pain free or another desired state.

A few addicts may have started using to experiment or to be like their peers, and before they realized, they had a problem. Some addicts quickly overcome their problem and go on to lead a productive life. Others, who find it too hard to go through withdrawals, need help to make this process tolerable enough to be able to complete it. They also need help to increase their will power and motivation – the body needs to function well for anyone to have strong will and motivation.

Most addicts turned to their substance of abuse to help them have the feelings of happiness that we all desire. Their addiction is not a weakness as is thought by most, but rather an excess of unmanageable bad feelings or pain of some kind that they are trying to mask. These bad feelings may have arisen because of a chemical deficiency that may have its origin in – bad diet, an inherited disposition or sexual, mental/emotional and/or physical abuse and/or unbearable pain.

Some people become addicts from long term use of painkillers – helping them to become pain free is essential to success in eliminating addiction.

Unfortunately, the use of any illicit substances to help you feel good only works for a short time. Once the effects of the drug wear off, they are followed by even stronger feelings of depression, anxiety, stress or whatever feelings you were trying to numb as well as the associated side effects of the drug.

If you are an addict, you may feel that there can be no help – you have had much counselling and tried different programs a few times, only to go back to your drug of choice because you found you couldn’t feel good enough.

Your problem is not the addiction, even though that is a big problem to overcome. The problem is what caused you to become an addict. That is why you keep relapsing no matter how strongly you may want freedom – for addiction is a prison – you are kept prisoner by your substance of abuse.

If you have been experiencing substance abuse and would like help to feel healthy and happy, then I may be the person to help you.

I have had personal experience with long term addiction and found the way to freedom. I have helped many people successfully overcome their addiction even after decades of substance abuse.

Gaining freedom from addiction is not just overcoming the withdrawals. Your body must be helped to function at its best to give you the feelings you so much desire.

I help you to start on a program to help you regain your health, feel calm and energetic with an increase of will power and motivation, before attempting to detoxify. That is the only sure way to achieving life long freedom.

You can be free, I know the way and it is easier than you may think. Email me for an appointment or more information.
